Sunsets by the Sycamores

Staring, moments washing by

And all it took was a silent sigh

Like a childhood daydream

Kids waking up, hitting the head beam

___

An ocean of empty

Rests many hearts plenty

With treasures sifted through like sand

All nothing without the hold of your hand

___

Sycamore trees and bumbling bees

Ooh I’d wish to be

Petals purr as they pray in plain air

Devotion dear, is all to dare

___

Flickering you there on its fairy tale

Our hearts a naught and not for sale

Meet me their by the billowing sail

Boarding, we’d watch the time drift, sipping its ale
